Colombo -- view of galle face green; the old parliament building and the main secretariat housing the finance ministry and treasury, which were built by the Brittish during the colonial period.
At the end of this complex is a Buddhist temple. On the other side of the road there are five star hotels such as Hilton and Galadari Meridian; The World Trade Centre towers (with private sector
offices); the Bank of Ceylon headquarters tower; Hotel Intercontinental; airline offices. Next to this there are small shops, restaurantts; the Central railway station and bus station. Behind this
is the port of Colombo.
